As we strive to provide our customers with enormous selection, we make it a practice
to examine merchandise for safety purposes before displaying it for sale. However,
due to the variety and sheer volume of goods we receive, we encourage our customers—particularly
those shopping for children’s items—to visit the following product safety
sites before making a purchase from any thrift store:

Information about Proposition 65:
http://www.oehha.ca.gov/prop65/getNSRLs.html
The State of California enacted Proposition 65, a far reaching law that applies
to any company that operates in California, sells products in California, or manufactures
products that may be sold in or brought into California. Proposition 65 requires
warning labels on any product that contains or may contain any of 700-plus elements
that the California Air Resources Board considers harmful. To ensure compliance
with California law, Savers and many other manufacturers have elected to provide
the Proposition 65 label on certain products out of an abundance of caution – including
products believed to be safe when used as designed. Additional information can be
found on the state’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment’s website.
